Bible Study:
Olive Branch Baptist Church provides
vital opportunities to worship during the week. A caring and serving body of
believers teach God’s Word to all ages through our Sunday School. The pastor’s
message brings His Word to those who are lost and are seeking Christ and to
those believers who constantly strive for spiritual maturity. Our youngest
children may leave the sanctuary before the sermon on Sunday mornings to attend
Children’s Church where they learn more of the love of Christ for children. The
AWANA group for children of all ages provides a mid-week break where our
children have Bible study and learn verses as well as play time in our
Christian Living Center. Special short-term study groups are provided for those
who want to study a specific topic during the week. |

Prayer: Prayer: 2009 has been chosen as our “Year of Ministry”. “Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms. If anyone speaks, he should do it as one speaking the very words of God. If anyone serves, he should do it with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.”
1 Peter 4:10-11 |

Music: Our
Sanctuary Choir lifts our hearts to the Lord with new music and our old
favorite hymns. Our choir members have been given the talent to sing and play
instruments and readily share that gift. We also enjoy our Praise Team singers –
a small group who provides a delightful, casual manner of singing praises to our
Lord. The Blackridge Boys, a group of men who play stringed instruments, sing
with a sophisticated bluegrass blend of voices and music and provide a different
sound. Our children’s choir presents special music which always reaches our
hearts. Worshiping God through music is very easy at Olive Branch! |

Giving: Olive
Branch recognizes the importance of giving money, time and talents. Our
financial system is designed to further the work of our Lord. Careful planning
for facility care and current literature is an ongoing process. Providing
comfortable settings for worship, education and fellowship and a safe
environment for our children is always high on our priority list. Our missions
programs and projects are promoted by our Women’s Missionary Union and our
Baptist Men. We are active in our community when there are
special needs for individuals or families. The entire congregation joins with
these groups by giving through our special offerings for
missionaries working in our homeland and in foreign
countries. |
