Susan Skinner established the Prayer Shawl Ministry at OBBC as a way to reach others in need through the creation and donation of handmade shawls and lap/shoulder blankets along with crocheted crosses and other gifts of comfort that include Scripture cards. Many have been blessed with one of our creations over the past years as we give to those in our church and extended community who are going through difficult times. We pray as we make the shawls and other gifts, showering those prayers on the recipients. We need more people who can create these gifts of love to give to others!

Listed below are ways that you can connect and become a part of this ministry.

• Crochet or knit shawls, blankets and crosses, and make other gifts to give away
• Donate to the cost of supplies for the gifts we make
• Deliver a gift to someone who is going through a difficult time
• Join us in fellowship once a quarter to share your ideas for helping those
• in need through this ministry or to learn how to crochet! We meet the third Monday in March, June, September, and December at 2:30 PM in the church fellowship hall.
